The Science of
Nanobubble
Technology
Sub-200nm bubbles with extraordinary physical properties — delivering superior oxygen transfer, chemical-free pollutant removal and 80% energy reduction over conventional systems.
What Are Nanobubbles?
Nanobubbles are ultra-fine gas bubbles with diameters below 200 nanometres — roughly 500 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. Unlike conventional bubbles that rise and escape within seconds, nanobubbles remain suspended in liquid for hours or even days.
This extraordinary stability arises from their strong negative surface charge (zeta potential), which creates electrostatic repulsion between bubbles — preventing coalescence. The result is dramatically extended oxygen-water contact time and unprecedented pollutant interaction.
When nanobubbles collapse under pressure, they generate hydroxyl radicals (•OH) — one of the most powerful oxidizing agents in nature — breaking down complex organic pollutants without any chemical addition.
Negative Zeta Potential
Surface charge of –25 to –35 mV prevents bubble merging and keeps them suspended for extended treatment time.
Electrostatic Attraction
Negative charge strongly attracts positively charged pollutants — oils, surfactants, suspended solids at colloidal level.
Radical Generation
Bubble collapse generates •OH radicals that oxidize BOD/COD organics without any chemical dosing agents.
Superior Gas Transfer
Massive surface area per unit volume delivers 40–60% higher oxygen transfer than blower-diffuser systems.
Wide pH Stability
Operates effectively across pH 4–10 and varied temperatures — suitable for diverse industrial effluents.
Zero Chemical Input
Physical and electrochemical mechanisms replace alum, chlorine, polymers across all four treatment stages.
Four-Stage Nanobubble Treatment
A non-biological, chemical-free treatment approach that replaces conventional blowers, dosing systems and complex civil infrastructure with a compact modular system.
Vortex Screening
Self-cleaning two-pass vortex design removes solids and debris with no choking, no manual intervention and continuous operation.
Mechanical Pre-treatmentNanobubble Filtration
Strong negative zeta potential physically separates suspended solids, emulsified oils, grease and surfactants down to colloidal level — without coagulants.
Physical SeparationNanobubble Aeration
Oxygen nanobubbles deliver 40–60% superior oxygen transfer efficiency, oxidizing BOD/COD organics. Eliminates anaerobic zones and foul odour.
Biological OxidationDisinfection & Reuse
Ozone nanobubbles eliminate bacteria, viruses and pathogens. Treated water meets PCB discharge norms and is safe for reuse or gardening.
Tertiary TreatmentCore Technology Components
Each component is precision-engineered for industrial-grade reliability, minimal maintenance and direct retrofit into existing ETP/STP infrastructure.
Nanobubble Generator (NBG)
Heart of the system. Generates billions of sub-200nm oxygen or ozone bubbles per millilitre using a venturi-hydrodynamic mechanism — no compressors, no diffusers.
Vortex Screen Unit
Self-cleaning two-pass vortex filter replaces bar screens and rotary drum filters. Handles fibrous, oily and high-solids influent without operator intervention.
Ozone Generation Unit
Onsite ozone generation for tertiary disinfection and colour removal in textile and CETP applications. Eliminates chemical storage and dosing pumps.
Control & Monitoring Panel
PLC-based automation panel with DO, pH and flow monitoring. Optional IoT connectivity for remote monitoring, alarm management and performance reporting.
Retrofit Aeration Module
Plug-and-play retrofit kit to replace existing blower-diffuser systems. Installs directly into existing aeration tanks — no drainage, no civil work, no plant shutdown.
Aquaculture Oxygenation
Dissolved oxygen nanobubble delivery for fish ponds, shrimp farms and aquaculture tanks. Maintains optimal DO levels throughout the pond depth uniformly.
